Mayan Farm is a working farm — over a hundred acres of fertile grazing land along Kin Kin Creek, on the Noosa Trail Network. The animals here have the run of large paddocks, and part of the rhythm of being on the farm is noticing them, and being noticed back.
Who lives here
Droughtmaster cattle
Rotated gently through the paddocks along Kin Kin Creek. You'll see them most days from the verandahs — usually unbothered, sometimes curious.
Quarterhorses
A small string of working horses who've earned their place on the farm and their easy pace around it.
Muscovy ducks
Quiet, hissing little characters who patrol the dams and the edges of the paddocks on their own schedule.
Chickens
Meat birds and a layer flock, free to roam. Fresh eggs to collect each morning — guests are welcome to wander down with the basket.
Wildlife
Kangaroos at dawn and dusk. Kookaburras, lorikeets, the occasional echidna. Everything that already lived here, still does.
Breakfast
Walk down with the basket. Walk back with the morning.
